About

In 2002, Poarta Oilor was founded by a Dutch couple; Frits and Tineke Sleeswijk Visser. In 2020, Youth for Christ Romania purchased Poarta Oilor. Poarta Oilor is a Christian Center that allows up to 100 guests for summer camps, retreats, conferences, trainings, and more.

The property extends over 8,000 m2 and consists of 27 guest rooms and a campground. Poarta Oilor also has volleyball and soccer fields, a swimming pool and several play areas for children. The common spaces include a large conference room (100 people seated), a dining room (90 people seated), a small meeting room (25 people seated) and two large covered terraces, allowing guests to host different gatherings for groups of up to 100 people in the summer and 80 people from October-May.

Summer Camps

Every summer, Poarta Oilor is sought after by churches and ministries across the country. We host summer camps, reaching nearly 1000 youth each year with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Our team prepares a place for your church or ministry to bring your summer camp to life. We require a 50 person minimum and can accommodate 100 people maximum. The 2025 price is 160 RON per person per night.

This price includes 3 meals per day and 1 additional snack. Bedding is provided, but towels are not.

We have 22 guest rooms between two main buildings. 5 additional rooms are available in the summer season only, for a total of 27 rooms. We can accommodate up to 80 people from October-May and up to 100 people in the summer season. Pets are accepted for a fee. Parking, swimming pool facilities and wifi are free for all our guests.

Our campsite can accommodate individuals, families and groups traveling with tents or caravans. We have 10 separate campsites, each with an electric post available for our guests (220V, 6A). The swimming pool and restroom facilities are available for free. Our campsite is open annually during the summer period, from May 1st to September 30th.

Please note, we DO NOT have waste disposal for caravan toilets.
